  • I like it a lot and it is a lot like the pogo
    I think the one thing I don’t like is having to load lancets every time. The pogo cartridge was much easier in that regard but I find if I replace the lancet after I use it then I’m ready to go for my next test.

  • Great replacement for my POGO that was discontinued
    I loved my "all-in-one" POGO glucose meter for ease of testing. No messing with test strips, etc. This product is a great replacement for that device, which was discontinued by its manufacturer.

  • Meter is very well designed and cassettes are great value
    Betachek is a very good meter being all-in-one. Another attractive point for me is that the test cassettes are actually cheaper than most test strips.

    Having no test strips and a built in lancing pen really makes things simpler. The build quality is impressive. I recommend this to anyone currently using a meter with strips and a finger pricker.

  • Having everything in one device is great
    I previously had a POGO, and couldnt find an alternative until I saw Betacheck c50. Its different to POGO but I actually think its a good thing. Everything is together and running a test is very quick and easy. The instructions are clear and the videos are very helpful. I am glad to have found it.

  • Overall better than what's currently on the market for all-in-one meters.
    Betachek App does not sync well in Android: e.g. (1) need to do on-off the meter a couple times to sync. (2) meter does not auto connect to App. (2) Wrong date entry on one occasion.

    Would be more convenient if I can load at least 10 lancets at once.

  • A close alternative to Pogo
    While there's a definite learning curve after having used a Pogo meter, the BetaChek is certainly an improvement over the usual testing meter. A lot fewer "moving parts" to lose or have to lug around.

  • Not as straightforward as POGO but one you figure it out it is easy
    The buttons/wheels etc are a little old school and took a minute or several to understand how to set it up and how to deal with the blood and controls before and after, but once you get it then it is straightforward. The controls should be printed with actual values and +/-, not just "OK."
